You may experience a problem if you don't change your configuration around because the same buttons used to aim your hits with the batter are also used to control which bases your runners attempt to steal. You should change either configuration (I suggest changing your baserunning). I changed mine to the SDWA setup (S for home; D for first; W for second; A for third).
Unfortunately, you cannot lead off a base with the keyboard by default, but if you follow these steps, you can:
Step 1: Create a backup of the controller.cfg file (it should be in My Documents under the profile the game was installed under if Windows XP) and put it on the desktop or other folder.
Step 2: Open up the controller.cfg file in NotePad and look
to see if there is a section that looks like the
following:
Step 3: The above picture should look similar to what
controller.cfg look like. Change the indicated files
to what the next picture shows:
Step 4: Go to File -> Save in Notepad.
Step 5: Make sure that when the file is saved, you save it as a .cfg file (when you save, it should automatically do this).
